What we collect

• Audio from your video. Your browser extracts only the audio track and sends it to our server so it can be transcribed. The video file itself never leaves your device.
• Text of the script. The transcribed lines are sent to our server to be translated.
• Access key. A random code stored in your browser that identifies your Pro subscription. It contains no personal information.
• Usage counts. The number of minutes you have used each month. For free users this is linked to a one-way hash of your IP address, not to the address itself.
• Subscription records. When you subscribe, Paddle tells us your subscription status, billing period and customer ID so we can switch on Pro.

What we do not keep

We do not store your video, your audio, your transcripts or your translations on our servers. They are processed to answer your request and then discarded. Your edited script and finished video are created in your own browser.

Service providers

We use these providers to run DubSplit. Each processes data only to provide its part of the Service, under its own privacy terms:

• Deepgram: speech recognition and speaker detection (receives the audio).
• Groq: translation (receives the text of the script).
• Paddle: payments, invoices, taxes and subscription management. Paddle is the Merchant of Record and handles your payment details; we never see or store your card number.
• Cloudflare: hosting of the website and servers, and storage of usage counts and subscription records.
• Google Fonts: web fonts used by the site.

Payment information

All payment information is collected and processed by Paddle. Paddle may also send you receipts and emails about your subscription. See Paddle's privacy policy at paddle.com/legal/privacy.

Cookies and browser storage

DubSplit does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It stores your access key and a few preferences in your browser's local storage. Paddle's checkout may set its own cookies to process payments securely.

How long we keep data

Usage counts are deleted automatically after 12 months. Subscription records are kept while your subscription is active and afterwards for as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the LGPD in Brazil), you can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to its use. Write to and we will reply within 30 days.

Children

DubSplit is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
